A Word About Fair Use
When contributing to Spiritually Speaking please keep in mind copyright and fair use laws. Remember that the creative ideas of others belong to them. Some older works are considered public domain and reprinting is acceptable, anything after 1978 is copyrighted for the lifetime of the author plus 70 years. Works prior to that may also be copyrighted under different rules.
Fair use laws allow small portions of copyrighted works to be used for, commentary, news reporting, educational and demonstration purposes provided the original author is given credit for the work. The specific percentage of the work that may be quoted isn’t well defined. The bottom line is if you are going to post another’s work the best choice is to obtain permission from the original author.
