Recently I sent out an email to a number of friends and family members asking a question about vinegar and I received some responses that I thought you would like to see.
My initial inquiry went something like this:
I love Balsamic vinegar, but since I am somewhat ungraceful and slop myself often, I do not buy the dark balsamic vinegar, I buy the white balsamic vinegar.
I’ve purchased this vinegar often, I store it in a cool, dark place and it is not old.
Does anyone know why my white balsamic vinegar turn into dark balsamic vinegar?

While many had no idea, I thought I would share some of the responses with you…I already know which response many of you will like best!

1 – When the white vinegar ages and evaporates it oxidizes and turns brown You know how an apple turns brown when it oxidizes from standing in the air. This is a similar process..
2 – I think it gets darker with age after opening and air hitting it.Doesn’t interfere with quality, but in strength of flavor
3 – When its aged (old) it just plain turns dark! That’s what I was told from MY source
4 – ???????????????
5 – Probably oxidation
6 – Vinegar has a tendency to do that. There is a distillation process that needs to be done to keep the vinegar clear. Vinegar as you may know starts off as apple cider and turns to vinegar. The vinegar gets strained to remove excess apple sediment. I am not sure what the process is to make the vinegar clear but I believe they heat it once more then strain again for impurities. When something is added to vinegar it becomes acidic and can turn colors again. This is what we helped my parents do when we made vinegar.
7 – I, too, love balsamic vinegar, and especially the White one. Never had that happen. It might be the quality of the brand. I use Alessi’s. It lasts a long time in the Fridge, and I use every last drop
8 – I’m guessing a chemical reaction took place. Perhaps a reaction to light? I believe the vinegar is stored in kegs which gives it the flavor.
9 -Maybe spirit turned it dark for a specific reason
10 – I think it is turning into wine! Praise God!

I command of myself that all reasons, memories, emotions, boundaries, disharmonies, beliefs, interferences on all Dimensions and Universes; ancestral, soul, and spiritual programs; conscious, unconscious, and subconscious programs; past life, present life and future life programs; hindering me from this, be removed completely, cleared from my energy field, grid and structure; wrapped in Divine Light, cleansed and cleared, filled with Divine love and peace, then released and guided into the Light.

I accept this completely, in all lifetimes, all planetary, star and solar systems, all universes, alternate and parallel universes and realities, all dimensions, all space and time, past, present and future, all ancestral time and on all levels.

My Mind, Body & Soul accepts this completely. All my guides, counsels, committees, cells, RNA and DNA are upgraded. This is asked in all sincerity, honesty, from my heart, and I will do my part, in the name of God and all the Divine Beings of Light. I rejoice and give thanks for all I have and all I will receive. So it is!
I still myself to receive this healing and this angelic blessing…NOW!

Some of you have heard me speak of the meditation specialist training program I attended in October at the Himalayan Institute in Honesdale. I had the opportunity to participate in the filming of the promotional videos and thought I’d share them. If you have the opportunity to attend I highly recommend it…and there are CEUs!
